What’s it like to have been a prisoner of war? To be a sex worker, miner or refugee? Or to have rediscovered love in your eighties? Empathy Museum invites you to look at the world through someone else’s eyes.

Curated by artist Clare Patey, Empathy Museum presents a series of travelling, participatory experiences focused on storytelling and dialogue. The most popular one - A Mile in My Shoes - is an interactive shoe shop where you can literally walk a mile in the shoes of a stranger while listening to a story about their life.

As International Producer, I manage all Empathy Museum’s international projects. My responsibilities include close collaboration with the Artistic Director on shaping and curating the projects, managing relationships with our partners and developing new ones, budgeting, contracting, marketing and drawing up strategic plans.

Some of the presentation I have managed include Sao Paulo, Brasil (Intermuseus), Denver, US (Biennale of Americas), Melbourne, Australia (Arts Centre Melbourne), Riga, Latvia (Homo Novus), Bern, Switzerland (Berner Generationenhaus), Montréal, Canada (MEM – Centre des mémoires montréalaises), Amsterdam, Netherlands (Oorzaken Festival).
